Trying a post from Microsoft Live Writer

In an attempt to make it easier and quicker for me to get posts on the blog. I am trying Microsoft’s new and free software.

Introducing the Miller’s

This is the Miller’s… We had to travel deep behind the cheddar curtain under a vail of cold and rainy darkness to photograph this family. Then after arriving I was nearly run over by the largest dog I have ever seen in my life. The dog’s name was Sophie, she is in some of the pictures. I think maybe she was a teddy bear in a previous life because she was calm and tolerant even happy to see strangers coming into her domain.

Dan, Daniele and Dylan are the Miller’s (They told me is was a coincidence;) … yeah sure, and I was born in Illinois )

I think Dylan was having more fun than all of us. And he never offered me an M&M… never

Courtney and Reis

This couple was a hoot to photograph. The energy and passion they have for each other just oozed out of them. ok…, maybe not oozed, but I could see and I am sure that you can to, that they were a couple meant to be together.

The shoot was for there engagement pictures before the snow came and even though it was cold I don’t think they noticed. Good thing for me, because it took us several weeks to hook up and get the date scheduled. The weather changed so fast, but this day turned out to be as good as it could get for nearly December

One of these pictures I see as a perfume Ad and although I don’t do commercial work it will be a lot of fun to turn it into something that resembles an Ad in GQ, VOGUE or Men’s Health. Can you guess which of these images I am thinking of for this special project?

Maxwell Murray

Well, a couple of Saturdays ago I had the joy of shooting my first “new born” baby and he was a trooper. He was two weeks old the day of the shoot, but I think it still classifies as newborn. Personally, my youngest is 19 years old and oh what a difference! I had forgotten just how tiny babies really are. The gallery will be up soon, but I thought you all would like a peek at Rachel and Aaron’s pride and joy.

I’ve been hacked!

Can’t imagine why anyone would want to hack into a photographers website. I wouldn’t think that I get enough hits to warrant someone taking all that time and trouble.

Well, because of this recent attack, I have decided to make it a little more difficult in the future for it to happen again. The area that was vulnerable has been removed and the blog moved to a different directory on my web server.

I am also trying to do something with some of my own slide show videos

The Grove Holloween Party

It’s been awhile and my apologies. My day job can be very demanding at times and must always take priority. Click HERE to see the gallery of images of the costume contest taken at the Grove Bar in Poplar Grove, IL.

My favorite band was performing that night and for what ever reason I didn’t even think there would be a costume contest. I hope you like them. Either way let me know. Send me an email or comment on the blog.

Confusing? – My son thinks so

I had a little chat with my son today. He complained that this site was a little confusing. He couldn’t easily find the pictures he wanted to share. I listened to his comments and could only agree.

Based upon his suggestions and some of my close friends I hope to have the site navigation set up a little better in a few days. I am planning to add better galleries and increase the images on the images page. I would like to completely delete the old stuff and stick with the wordpress template that I am using.

I also have a ton more and better pictures for you all to see.

Be patient and stay tuned.

The second item is a HDR pano that I am working on. I am not completely happy with what I have here but this is just a brief sample for you to see what I am up to. Don’t be afraid totell me what you think.

I don’t think it displays correctly, but it is close. I have to fix the sky…

Classix Holloween Gig

The Calssix asked me to photograph their Halloween gig at the Grove last Saturday. It was a great time! They didn’t tell me and I didn’t think about it, but there was a Halloween party that night. (duh!) I was soo ill prepared but, some of the other patrons knew about it and were very prepared.

But then you didn’t have to be in costume to attend

A woman named Sherri dancing.

You might think that there were some famous people performing at the Grove that night… But alas it was the CLASSIX incognito!

Austin Powers? Nah

NAPP Seminar

I just returned from a NAPP photoshop seminar and I had a great time. The place was packed!

The photo shows one of the techniques that I learned how to do the right way. It was worth every penny even including the $9.00 hamburger and $3.50 diet pepsi. (I thought I was in a movie theater for a moment :) )
Don’t be afraid to make a comment and tell me what you REALLY think.

Peace
Jeff

The video link has been broken. Removed it from this post.

Putting this video here is like sending it to my five friends.
